Vulnerable Concentrations of Seabirds to Oil Spills - MAY (GB)
Coastal and Marine Resource Atlas
|

Seabird concentrations are especially vulnerable to oil pollution, and may become contaminated by oil wherever concentrations occur at sea, sometimes at considerable distance from the coast. These data highlight the most vulnerable aggregations for each month of the year in offshore waters based on their abundance in each statistical rectangle and their vulnerability to the effects of oil pollution.
Calculated area vulnerability score within each month of the year

Vulnerability score: No value = no data; 0.00 - 14.00 = low vulnerability; 14.01 - 46.00 = moderate vulnerability; 46.01 - 133.47 = high vulnerability; >= 133.48 = very highly vulnerable.
